Gutu-Born ZimDancehall artiste showers Hevoi FM praise
…as he aims to hog the limelight

A Gutu-born Zimdancehall artiste has hailed Hevoi FM for supporting local talent in Masvingo but says he is eager now to dominate the national airwaves.
Speaking to Radio VOP, the 22-year-old Prosper Marufu affectionately known as ‘Superman Vybes’ praised Hevoi FM an AB Communication owned radio station for its initiative of supporting budding artistes in Masvingo saying it has gone a long way in moulding his career.
“I am grateful for the role that Hevoi FM did in nurturing my career as an upcoming artiste from Gutu, Mupandawana . The station would pay for my recording fees at backyard studios.
“I also received massive airplay by the station,” quipped the young chanter.
The Zimdancehall artiste said he has .performed alongside some of the household names in the genre like Ras Caleb, Platinum Prince and Soul Jah Love.
With over 10 singles under his belt , Superman Vybes is now working on an album called ‘ Ndomene Haichemedzi’.
“I have recorded over 10 singles that include
Wekwangu, Matsvagiro eMari Anosiyana and Vanasikana Vemazuvano which are all social commentaries.
“Right now I am working on my debut album “Ndomene Haichemedzi’,”he added
The former Mupandawana High student is now based in Ruwa and is eager to rock the national airwaves once the album is ready.
“My biggest fantasy now is to hog the Zimdancehall limelight if I finish working on the album but my uphill task is getting the
money to fund the recording hence my appeal to any benefactors out there to assist me in realising my dream, “appealed the young musician.
The Zimdancehall genre has grown tremendously with the emergence of artistes like Soul Jah Love,Killer Tee, Seh Calaz and Kinnah just to mention a few who are now household names in the local showbiz industry.
