Angry Clashes Between Police, Kombi Operators In Harare Suburbs

BREAKING: ANGRY clashes have erupted between police and commuter transport operators in Harare’s satellite town of Ruwa, sparking an early morning transport crisis among residents.

It was not immediately clear as to what could have torched the latest protests.

However, kombi operators have long been accusing the Zimbabwe Republic Police of continued harassment through endless roadblocks which have often seen operators being asked to pay bribes.

Social media platforms were Monday morning buzzing with reports parts of the little town had turned chaotic with roads being blocked by angry operators using car tyres.

Police had reportedly deployed heavily in the town to quell the violence.

A similar situation was also reported for Harare’s sprawling town of Epworth.

RadioVOP could however not readily confirm the reports with the authorities.
