The four Clarence Madhuku, Godfrey Costa, Sally Mlambo and Limukani Nyoni are part of the 13 MDC T officials arrested across Matabeleland South over the weekend while conducting leadership training workshops.
“This morning police officers turned us away saying MDC T people should not be given food,” said Mqabuko Ndlovu the Gwanda district chairperson.
Eight others who include the provincial youth chairperson, Morgan Ncube were arrested in Beit Bridge while one was arrested in Insiza North.
The police have not yet charged the MDC T officials claiming there are still looking for other officials who reportedly ran away on Saturday during the raid at the party’s offices.
However, they are likely to be charged under the notorious Public Order and Security Act for convening a meeting without notifying the police.
