Bonde Is New De-Mbare Supporters Boss
Bonyongwe who has been at the helm for the past eight years has relocated from Harare which makes him ineligible to hold the top position since the chairman has to reside in Harare where the club’s headquartes is located.
This is the second time that Bonde has held this position having been the club’s chairman during De Mbare’s most successful year in 1998 when they reached the final of the Caf Champions League and also retained their domestic title.Club chairman Farai Munetsi said they were looking forward to good working relationship with Bonde adding that he hoped they would not intefere in the administration of the club.
Bonde said his administrative team,s duty was to give support to the club and players even when the club was going through a bad patch.He also warned the team’s followers to desist from meddling in the affairs of the club and in the coaching department.
Bonde says De Mbare supporters should learn that football is about winning and loosing and at times through robbery saying they should abandon the system of missile throwing.
He said, his and his association’s dream this year is to see Dynamos win the Champions League and the Premier Soccer League championship which has eluded them for the past three years.Dynamos take on MC Alger of Algeria in the first round of the Caf Champions League. The first match is at Rufaro Stadium next Sunday.
