Sources at the club revealed that Chunga on Monday evening held a meeting with the Dynamos authorities for a possible return to the club as head of the club’s coaching department.
Although club acting chairman Kenny Mubaiwa refused to discuss the contents of the meeting, sources said Chunga was offered the position of director of coaching to replace Sunday Chidzambwa who left to coach a South African club, Free Stars.
The position has been vacant for the past two months since Chidzambwa left.
Chunga did not deny that he spoke with Dynamos officials but laughed off suggestions that he was moving to the popular Harare club.
The former Zimbabwe captain has already left his job as coach of Shooting Stars the club he joined at the beginning of the season after quiting Gunners.
Bambo as Chunga is affectionately known led Gunners to the 2009 league title but left them before they could participate in the Caf Champions League.
Observers said they will not be surprised if Chunga joined Dynamos because with him anything was possible.
