Dynamos Captain George Magariro Goes Missing
Team coach Calisto Pasuwa says he does not know Magariro’s whereabouts and has not heard from the player why he has not been part of the team.
As leader of the players, Pasuwa says, Magariro should at least had communicated with the coach why he was absent as the players need his guidance during their return from the holidays.
Pasuwa says he is worried at the events that are happening at Dynamos as a number of the club’s senior players among them strikers Cuthbert Malajila and Roderick Mutuma have also been absent leaving him without a strike force as the two formed the striking duo that won De Mbare the league Championship and the Mbada Diamonds Cup.
More importantly for the coach is the fact that the absent players have already been registered for the Caf Champions League which will leave Dynamos short of players should they not return to the club.
Some of the senior players, though, among them Murape Murape, Milton Makopa, and Castle Soccer Star of the Year, Washington Arubi, have heeded the club’s call and were training with the aspiring hopefuls whom Dynamos are looking at as future players of the club.
Dynamos have already lost Archieford Gutu one of the key figures of their 2011 success who has left for Sweden.
Dynamos officials could not be reached to find out what they are doing about the player crisis that has hit the club. Chairman Kenny Mubaiwa’s mobile went unanswered each time Radio VOP sort his comment.
Dynamos, Zimbabwe’s most popular football team has a tough assignment in which they are seeking a good run in the Caf Champions League while at the same time try to retain the domestic title which they won on the last day of play by defeating FC Platinum on goal difference.
De Mbare will play the winner between FC Mafunzo of Zanzibar and Maculmana of Mozambique in the first round of the Champions League and then defending champions Esperance of Tunisia in the second round.
The Zimbabweans have a high ranking in African football and do not play in the preliminary rounds. But a slip up this year, coupled by their first round elimination in the 2011 competition will not do well to their rating.
