Dynamos Gets Bye In 2011 Champions League Draw

According to the Confederation of African Football draw conducted Monday afternoon, Motor Action will start their campaign at home on the weekend of January 20-30. The Mighty Bulls who were crowned champions at the weekend will then travel to he draw for the second leg during the weekend of February 11-13.

However Dynamos have a bye due to their good record in the Champions League. The other teams that have been given a bye are defending champions TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia, Ittihad (Sudan), Stade de Malian (Mali) and Egypt’s Al Ahly and Sudan’s Al Hilal were former Dynamos player Edward Sadomba plays.

In the Confederation Cup, Bulawayo giants will date Zambia Tshanga Red Devils in the preliminary round at Barbourfields (January 20-30) Bosso will then travel to Zambia for the second leg (February 11-13).

Thw 2011 CAF Interclubs competition was held on Monday December 20 in CAF headquarters in Egypt. 55 clubs will compete for the Orange Champions League and and 52 clubs for Orange Confederation Cup. The competitions will begin in January(28,29,30).

The Orange Champions League final will be played in November (11,12,13) and the Orange Confederation Cup in December (02,03,04).
