Emirates boosts Zimbabwe small traders’ business
Harare, October 2, 2013 – Emirates, which flies daily from Harare to Lusaka and Dubai, has set out to woo Harare’s trading community with an intensive six-day awareness campaign across the city’s main markets.
The airline is spending this week highlighting the opportunities for traders and shoppers’ looking to buy merchandise at some of the world’s best shopping destinations, including Dubai.
A dedicated team of Emirates brand ambassadors will be touring the streets and markets of Harare having started on September 30 to October 5 to highlight airline’s offers for traders and explain their significance directly to thousands of business men and women in Gulf City, OK Zimbabwe First Street and Fife Avenue, Tynserve Rezende, Tynserve Graniteside, Mohamed Musa, central business district (CBD) and Spar Julius Nyerere.
Among the offers being promoted are economy class fares starting from Harare to Mumbai Dubai, Beijing, Shangai Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
A generous 150kg excess baggage allowance is also available at an additional cost, and means market traders can bring back more goods from their trips to Dubai, helping to make their businesses more efficient and prices more competitive for their customers.,

After his fallout with Western countries over targeted sanctions on the Zanu PF leadership, President Robert Mugabe adopted a Look East policy which saw an increase in business with Asian countries.
