Fired Generation Actors Seek CCMA Arbitration
The 16 Generation actors who were fired after a dispute with the production company, MMSV, have taken their case to the Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration.
The CCMA has confirmed that it’s received a referral from the Generations Actors Guild claiming that the actors were unfairly dismissed.
The CCMA’s Laura Mseme says a hearing is set down for October 14 – next Tuesday morning.
MMSV terminated the actors’ contracts in August after they downed tools in a dispute over pay, contracts and royalties.
Some of the cast members who were fired include Sophie Ndaba who plays Queen Moroka, Menzi Ngubane who plays Sibusiso Dlomo and Katlego Danke who plays Dineo Dlomo.
