Gruesome Weekend Murders Shock Harare, Chitungwiza

A man was brutally murdered at the Fourth Street bus terminus in Harare this Sunday afternoon.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was allegedly struck by an iron bar and collapsed before bleeding to death.
The assailant fled the scene of the crime but witnesses, who refused to speak to the ZBC News on camera, said he is known.
There are conflicting statements as to how the quarrel started with some saying the victim was being accused of stealing radio speakers from an commuter omnibus while others claimed the altercation was over passengers as the man is a known tout.

Meanwhile families of the two men who were gruesomely murdered when a Chitungwiza man went berserk on Saturday are yet to come to terms with the tragedy. The families have called for thorough investigations to establish the motive. It was a sombre atmosphere at the Masenda homestead as neighbours, relatives and friends gathered to mourn the death of Marko Masenda, who with his colleague, Lloyd Jambawu, were murdered in Manyame Park on Saturday morning.
Family spokesperson, John Masenda, who is brother to Marko, said the family has been thrown into mourning, adding that they are failing to come to terms with the situation.
Marko left behind three children and a wife.
Mourners for Lloyd Jambawu are gathered in Mufakose while waiting for police investigations into the matter to be completed.
The elders and the community agree that they have never seen such a cruel death in their lifetime.
The alleged murderer, Proud Mupambwa, is in police custody and is expected to appear in court on Monday.
Burial arrangements for the two victims will be revealed in due course.
