“An agreement has not yet been finalised,” Boaz Hirsch told a news conference after a four-day meeting of the Kimberley Process ended. “We hope to reach an agreement in the coming days…We are still working with Zimbabwe and other countries.”
However, Zimbabwe’s mines and mining development minister Obwet Moses Mpofu disagreed and said the country would sell diamonds “immediately” from Marange.
“Zimbabwe will sell diamonds without any conditions,” he said. “There is no opposition to that.”
