South Africa leading goal scorer Knowlegde Musona has indicated that he will not be available for the All Africa Games qualifier against Zambia on January 7-9 next year due to club commitments.
Ajax Cape Town’s Khama Billiart and Tafadzwa Rusike have also indicated that they will not be available due to club commitments.
The All Africa Games are open to players who are aged Under 23 and the Zimbabwe internationals were expected to boost the Young Warriors.
Wellington Mpandare, the Under 23 manager said the team would go into camp on December 27.
Mpandare said while the national team coach Friday Phiri was disappointed with the opting out of Musona, Billiart and Rusike the clubs were not compelled to release the players as the All Africa Games are not on the FIFA calendar.
