Popular Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries leader Walter Magaya will Thursday descend on Bulawayo for a two-day crusade slated for Amazulu Sports Club.
The visit by Magaya will not only be his first visit to Zimbabwe’s second largest city, but will also be his first crusade outside Harare ever since he stormed into the limelight.PHD Ministries’ spokesperson Oscar Pambuka confirmed the prophet was heading to Bulawayo.
“It’s confirmed, prophet Magaya will be in Bulawayo for a two-day crusade from Thursday to Friday,” he said.
“The Bulawayo crusade will mark the beginning of several crusades that are going to take place in all the country’s 10 provinces.”
He said both crusades in the city will be free of charge and will commence at 5pm.
Of late, PHD Ministries has seen a surge in the number of Zimbabweans flocking to the church, seeking a breakthrough or deliverance.
The tour by the popular Harare-based prophet will come as good news to some in the city and its hinterland who had either longed to see him or had endured frequent travels to the capital either for deliverance or weekly Sunday services.
Magaya’s anointing oil, which has caused consternation, has seen many scrambling to acquire the product, with reports that it is now being sold on the black market.
Church officials say the oil is capable of unlocking all the doors of impossibilities in one’s life.
The prophet, who now commands a huge following, says Nigerian celebrity preacher TB Joshua is his spiritual father.
As part of his growing ministry, Magaya has managed to woo celebrities to his church such as sungura ace Nicholas Zakaria, dendera musician Allan Chimbetu and former Zifa chief executive officer Henrietta Rushwaya, among others.
