The popular Harare club had already flown with the player as it was not aware of his suspension for accumulating three yellow cards.
Dynamos were on Tuesday still deciding between Leo Kurauzvione and Thomas Magorimbo as replacements.
Club secretary Ray Kazembe told the club’s unofficial website DeMbare.Coms that Coach Calisto Pasuwa would have the final say although some sources said club executives were scheduled to meet Wednesday to find a way forward.
Makopa is the second Dynamos player to be suspended for flouting Caf rules. Defender Guthrie Zhokini was also suspended for four games after receiving a red card in the club’s Champions League second round match against MC Alger last year.
Dynamos need a good result at the Olympique Rades Stadium to keep their dream of qualifying for the mini league stage of the Caf Champions League after losing out in the second round to MC Alger of Algeria last year.
Esperance and Dynamos will meet again in the return leg in Harare on May 13.
