TWELVE people have been killed in an accident about 45 kilometers from Beitbridge, when an MBT bus collided with a haulage truck along the Harare-Beitbridge highway.
ZRP national spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba, told ZBC News that 10 people died on the spot while two died on admission at Beitbridge District Hospital.
Senior Assistant Commissioner Charamba, said the bus which was coming from South Africa hit a donkey and veered off its lane, resulting in a head-on collision with a haulage truck.
She revealed that eight bodies were retrieved from the bus while two were retrieved from the truck.
Fourty five people were injured in the accident and 7 of them are reportedly critical and are admitted at Beitbridge District Hospital.
