MDC Youths Confront Kasukuwere Over Violence
The MDC-T youths led by Kasukuwere’s deputy in Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment Ministry who is from the MDC-T Tongai Matutu held a close to a two hour meeting were they had a heated debate over the two issues.
Chipangano over the past month has been terrorising residents in Harare’s market places evicting them after accusing them of supporting MDC-T.
In an exclusive interview with Radio VOP in Harare Friday MDC-T Youth Assembly Secretary General Promise Mkwananzi said they demanded that Kasukuwere should instruct Zanu-PF youths to stop violence before empowering all youths despite their political party affiliations.
“We actually went to him to express our concern over political violence perpetrated by Zanu-PF youths”, said Mkwanazi.
The Government will next week unveil S$1 million which will be distributed for youth development programs.
Mkwananzi said they wanted the financial resource to be equitably distributed to all youths in the country.
“We also touched on the issue of empowerment with our concerns being mainly how it is trickling down. Evidently from the look of things Zanu-PF is the main beneficiaries of the empowerment programs of this country because the whole technical staff has been recruited on a party basis .
