Isheunesu Moyo, an official at parliament, said the soccer game between industry captains has been facilitated to create relations between the lawmakers and business executives.
He said: “Members of Parliament are preparing for the clash with the captains of industry, a game they are going to play as curtain raisers to a Group G World Cup qualifier between the Warriors and Guinea this Sunday.”
“The Members of Parliament are training and have a preparatory game on Wednesday 30 May 2012 at Belvedere Teachers Technical College at 15:30hrs.”
The match between the Warriors has been initially set for the National sports stadium but might be moved to Rufaro stadium.
Zimbabwe is yet to qualify for the World Cup, the most prestigious soccer tournament in the world. The country has been to the African Cup of nations but is yet to win the continental cup or to qualify to the quarter finals stage.
