Mugabe, Mutambara Arrives In Livingstone For Key Regional Summit

Mugabe was accompanied by a massive delegation comprising of his Defence Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa, Justice and Legal Affairs
Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Justice and Legal Affairs permanent secretary David Mangota and George Charamba,
the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Media, Information and Publicity, who also double up as Mugabe’s spokesperson.
First to arrive in Livingstone, where the troika meeting commences on Thursday was Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara together with SADC
executive secretary Tomaz Salomao.
Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai and his delegation will also attend the regional troika summit.
The SADC troika which is chaired by Zambia is expected to tackle various security challenges facing the region, including the political crisis in Zimbabwe and Madagascar.
South African President Jacob Zuma, will lead a high level delegation to the SADC troika summit. The SADC troika consists of Banda and Mozambican President Armando Guebuza. South Africa will assume the
chair of the Organ in August.
