Musona who was last month crowned the South African league’s top goal scorer before helping Zimbabwe overcome Mali in an international African Cup of Nations qualifier in Harare is a top target of Germany Bundesliga side Hoffeinheim.
The club is said to have expressed serious interest in the 20 year-old Zimbabwean who never played in the local top flight league that it is prepared to pay R 20 million to secure his services.
The club which is also chasing the signature of another Zimbabwean striker Khama Billiat and Orlando Pirates Andile Jali but the two arejust collateral in case it fails to land the young Zimbabwean striker who was plucked out of Black Aces Academy by Kaizer Chiefs scouts just over a year ago.
Kaizer Chiefs confirmed the trial on its official club website on Saturday and already Amakosi supporters are debating who will replace Musona who in just over a year has managed to illuminate the South African top flight league.
The club has already arranged trials for an unnamed Ghanaian striker as a possible replacement for Musona who has also attracted interests from Russia and France.
