Nato Airstrike Damage Gaddafi's Compound

It is believed the main target of the blast was office buildings and much of the devastation seems to have been caused to a structure where the Libyan leader welcomed the African Union peace mission representatives recently.

Three television stations went off the air in the immediate aftermath of the attack, but service quickly resumed.Colonel Gaddafi’s supporters have gathered at the site in protest to what they describe as a personal attack on their leader.They have threatened to ignore Nato advice to clear the area and will form what is effectively a human shield for the compound.
