Harare, November 05, 2016 – SURPRISE Chibuku Super Cup finalists Ngezi Platinum players have been promised they will share the competition’s entire prize money if they emerged victorious against FC Platinum this Saturday afternoon.

The players have also been promised additional bonuses for a cup triumph.

The two platinum mining sides square off in this year’s edition of the country’s most lucrative cup competition at Baobab Stadium in Ngezi.

Winners will walk away with $75 000.

Ahead of the clash, it has emerged the management at Ngezi has wetted the Madamburo camp’s appetite with a rare promise to players and the technical team they will pocket the prize money if the premiership league debutants won the coveted trophy.

A Ngezi Platinum player revealed to RadioVOP that the management broke the good news on Friday afternoon.

“We have been promised that if we win the Chibuku Super Cup, we will share prize money and also the management has promised to top up the prize money which will only be revealed to us before the game tomorrow (Saturday),” said the player.

However, FC Platinum is not reading too much into what is happening in the other camp with club spokesperson, Chido Chizondo saying they are more than ready to win the country’s most prestigous cup tie which they lost under controversial circumstances last year to Harare City at Mandava Stadium.

“It’s a derby and as the nature of any derby, each team would want to claim the title on that day. The last match is now under the bridge and we are focusing 100 percent on Saturday’s encounter and will be a double delight if we are to go for cup double,” said Chizondo.

Ngezi Platinum booked a place in the final after edging highly rated Bulawayo side, Highlanders by a goal to nil courtesy of an early second half penalty by Liberty Chakaroma.

FC Platinum, a Zvishavane based side, booked their own ticket to their cup berth in the final after beating Triangle by three goals to nil.
