No Suspension Worries For PSL Title Contenders

Harare, October 26, 2016 – LOCAL premiership championship contenders, Caps United, Highlanders and FC Platinum have been offered a good opportunity to pursue their title chase this weekend free of any worries after none of their players are part of a list of suspensions released for the weekend’s ties by the Premier Soccer League.

It is however Hwange, Triangle and Bulawayo City who have to tinker with their squads following the suspension of some of their players.

Hwange go into the weekend without Gilbert Zulu while Yogi Mandigora’s Triangle will miss the services of Hardlife Muvundi.

Bulawayo City will also play without Zibusiso Sibanda.

During match day 27, Caps United played without chief striker Leonard Tsipa and Phineas Bhamusi who were both suspended for accumulating three yellow cards each ahead of the exciting Harare derby against old rivals Dynamos in a match that ended with a stalemate.

The local premiership has reaches an exciting home stretch with Caps United, Highlanders and FC Platinum all still with a chance to clinch the title.

With three matches remaining before season ending, Caps top the table with 54 points, a point above Highlanders who are on 53 with Norman Mapeza’s FC Platinum following closely with 52 points.

This weekend, Caps United play inconsistent Harare City, while Highlanders take on relegation bound Tsholotsho with FC Platinum travelling to Gweru wary of Chapungu’s intentions to spoil their title hopes.

All the top three matches have been scheduled for this Saturday.
