Police Plan To Arrest Publishers Of The Zimbabwean, Eight Others Over Baba Jukwa
Harare, June 27, 2014-The Zimbabwe Republic Police says it is still pursuing investigations to arrest other people accused of being administrators to babajukwa2013@gmail.com and Baba Jukwa Facebook page.
In a statement, police national spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said these are:
Mxolisi Ncube (38) now based in South Africa, Walter Shoko and Samson Chifamba, both based in the United Kingdom.
The other accused are Wilf and Trish Mbanga – owners of the Zimbabwean newspaper, and George Chirakasha, also based in the United Kingdom.
The police are also looking for Anomie Drew, Piniel Nhokodzi, Romeo Musemburi and Sarudzai Florence in connection with the same offence.
Senior Assistant Commissioner Charamba said the wanted persons are based in various global locations and network to post subversive articles on Baba Jukwa Facebook page.
She said the law will take its course on anyone engaged in subversive activities.
