Publisher Fined For Operating Without A Licence

According to Media Institute of Southern Africa Zimbabwe Senior programmes Officer, Nyasha Nyakunu, Chinhoyi magistrate Fanuel Nyakudya, sentenced Kagonye to two months in prison with the option of a $100 fine.

Kagonye was also slapped with a further suspended sentence of six months imprisonment on condition he does not commit a similar offence within the next five years.

Kagonye was represented by Kudzai Choga, who was acting under the auspices of the Media Lawyers Network (MLN). He had been arrested on Tuesday.
