Registrar General Accredits As Zanu (PF) Delegate For Constitution Indaba

The constitutional parliamentary committee Co-Chair Douglas Mwonzora told Radio VOP:
“We are very happy as MDC (Movement for Democratic Change) that Tobaiwa Mudede is coming as a Zanu (PF) delegate. It buttresses what we have always been saying that he is not impartial.”

Mudede has been accused of rigging past elections on behalf of President Robert Mugabe and his Zanu (PF) party using the voters’ role, which civic society has said is in shambles.

Mwonzora said the accreditation process for the conference that begins Sunday, went without incident in all the country’s 10 designated centres.

The three day conference is expected to be attended by 1 100 delegates. Among these, 570 shall come from civic society while political parties shall contribute a total of 246 delegates.

Accreditation continues up to Friday with observers and journalists due to be accredited Thursday and Friday.

Countries with embassies in Zimbabwe had been invited as observers.
