The 57-year-old Harare business executive recently underwent surgery, at an undisclosed private hospital overseas, on his right leg which has been troubling him for the past two years and made it difficult for him to walk without an aide.
Dube was helped by an aide, when he was declared the Zifa president at the elections on March 27, because of the same complications in his right leg.
Two weeks ago he left for the country again with Zifa Chief Executive Henrietta Rushwaya advising the board members, in a circular, that the board president was going for a review of the operation.
On Sunday, viewers of Emmanuel TV, one of Africa’s largest Christian television networks, saw the Zifa boss at a healing service, attended by thousands of people from around the world, which was conducted by Pastor TB Joshua. He was asked to stand from his wheelchair before taking a a few steps.
The viewers reported seeing Dube arriving on a wheelchair and then Pastor TB Joshua praying for him with the Zifa president suddenly finding strength in his leg and emerging from the wheelchair and then walking on his own. The same viewers said Dube then addressed the gathering telling the global watching audience that his leg had troubled him for the past two years and he was glad that the spiritual power of the Lord had finally healed him.
