The School of Politics which is located in Bulawayo central business district will be enrolling youths from all walks of life and teach them about Zimbabwe politics.
Speaking to Radio VOP on Friday smaller MDC faction national youth assembly secretary general Descent Bajila said the party opened this school after realising that most young Zimbabweans are not actively participating in the country’s politics.
“Our aim is to teach every young Zimbabwe about the country politics, we came up with this project after realising that most young people don’t know or are not interested in politics. The lessons will be for free and we are not barring anybody, even youths from other political parties are welcome,”said Bajila.
Bajila said lessons will be conducted by veteran politicians and renowned political analysts.
Subjects to be taught at the MDC School of Politics include, National Heritage, Contemporary Politics and Understating Ideologies. Other subjects are Policy Studies, Lobbying and Advocacy, Professional Studies and National Administration
The official opening of the school which is situated along Jason Moyo Avenue in Bulawayo, was also attended by National Healing Minister Moses Mzila Ndlovu who is the also one of the lecturers at this school.
“This is a brilliant idea by our party youths and will make sure that project become of the best in Africa,” said Mzila Ndlovu.
