Soccer Legend Freddy Mukwesha Dies

Former Dynamos Football Club striker, Freddy Mukwesha, has died.

He was 74.

Mukwesha at the age of 25 in 1966 was Zimbabwe’s first football export, signing for Portuguese side, Sporting Dé Braga.

Upon his return he coached Caps United and later joined Dynamos as a director.

Family spokesperson Moses Mukwesha said Freddy was a family unifier, humble and hardworking man.

Mourners are gathered at 6815 Glen Norah A flats in Harare.
