Musician and actor Tendai Chidarikire has made a comeback in the music industry with the release of his new offering titled Hona Ma Usa after he released his last album 10 years ago.
Chidarikire,has been in South Africa pursuing an acting career and made a comeback to the music scene with an album.
It has taken Chidarikire more than 10 years to put the new album together and he believes its release will announce his return in a big way.
Most of the songs on the album tackle corruption, unfair practices at work and various social issues.
The eight-track album incorporates genres like contemporary, acapella, soul and house dance.
Tracks on the album include Hona Ma Usa, Zezuru House, Mwari Seiko Mwari, Ikoko and Tete.
While in South Africa Chidarikire a former ZBC marketing officer based at Montrose studios featured in such soapies as Generations, Isidingo and Scandal.
Locally, he showcased his acting talent when he featured in Studio 263.
Chidarikire’s artistic journey started in the early 1990s when he starred in the local talent identification search Star Brite where he made a name with his song Muzezuru.
In 1996, he was crowned best performance actor by Reps Theatre in Harare.
