Tongai Moyo Cancels Shows As Wife Commits Suicide

Muchengeti died at Kwekwe Hospital where she had been rushed to by her husband after taking rat poison at the family business in Zhombe.

Moyo who was set to hold a joint show with Zimbabwe international superstar Oliver Mtukudzi, at Kadoma has cancelled all his shows.
He was also supposed to hold another show with Sulumani Chimbetu and Alexio Kawara on Saturday afternoon at the Harare Gardens.

Moyo confirmed his wife’s suicide, saying he did not expect it as they had discussed the issue of a second wife with her and his sister at a recent family meeting.

Moyo was quizzed by the police in Kwekwe over the death of his wife.

He has also been very ill of late with cancer and these shows were a comeback.
