Trump's Real Estate Peers Cool To Presidential Run
For the past week, Globest.com, a website used by brokers, developers, lenders, managers and others in the industry, has been running a web poll in which readers were asked if they would vote for Trump for president.
The popular response in the unscientific survey, at 71 percent, was “Hell No. It’s Just a Grab for Headlines,” while 16 percent said “Yes: He’s Savvy and Can Set Us Straight.” The remaining 13 percent were on the fence.
Some 873 votes were cast. Anyone coming to the website could vote, but only one vote was accepted for each IP address, a spokesman said.
The colourful Trump, host of the NBC television show “Celebrity Apprentice,” has been flirting with a possible 2012 run for the Republican presidential nomination.
He is holding back an announcement of his plans until the reality show ends its season on May 22. Ratings for the show have been rising as Trump stirs up a media storm with his possible run for office. Reuters
