Tsvangirai meets Mozambican President

Mozambique is the incoming chair of SADC.

His spokesman, Luke Tamborinyoka said Tsvangirai will inform Guebbuza about political developments in Zimbabwe.  Tsvangirai is also expected to proceed to Tanzania for a similar meeting with President Kikwete.

SADC executive secretary Tomaz Salomao was expected to assess the situation in Zimbabwe before briefing President Jacob Zuma’s mediators. Zuma will present his report to the SADC politics and defence meeting in Maputo on August 17.
