Urban Groover Producer TBA Dies In South Africa

He was 28.

The respected music producer who earned his respect producing music for the best in the urban grooves fraternity reportedly died after he was involved in a car accident on Sunday morning while on his way home from the launch of his album at Chez Ntemba International Club in Pretoria.

Sipho Mkhuhlani who was Chief Executive Producer of the Chigutiro stable and was the producer behind the plug hit Wandinoda by Nox.

Nox confirmed the death on his face book page saying: “I would like to announce the sudden passing on of one of the greatest rare talent that Zimbabwe had in terms of music production.”

TBA is said to have passed on around 17.50pm apparently after spending the whole day on life support. The accident happened at SCHUMAN & R55.

His pregnant fiancée also passed away on the spot but the other four people in the car managed to survive with minor injuries. It is not clear as to who was driving.

TBA was known for being among the pioneers of urban grooves in 2001 then under the THAT SQUAD STUDIOS label.  He worked with artists like Roki, Stunner, Nox, Ngonie, maskiri, Honey Vibes, Diana, XQ, Tererai and Cindy among others.
