Zambian Sata Feels Home In Zimbabwe

Sata was met at the Harare International Airport by President Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace Mugabe and senior government officials.He inspected a guard of honour mounted by the presidential guard unit and was given a 21 gun salute.
 
“I am happy to be in Zimbabwe, I feel like I am home,” Sata told journalists in a brief chat after his arrival accompanied by his wife and Zambian ministers as well as senior government officials.
 
Mugabe will host a banquet for Sata and his entourage at the State House Wednesday evening after which Thursday he will travel to Bulawayo to officially open the ZITF which is already underway in the second largest city.
 
Sata, who was elected Zambia’s President last year after years in the opposition once said he admires Mugabe,88,controversial land reforms.
 
At that time Sata who is popularly known as ‘King Cobra’ in his country threatened to kick out Chinese businesses and their owners for exploiting his nationals but made a sudden u-turn when elected to power in 2011.
