Zanu (PF) Member Accused Of Assault

Nyaude who was the leader of team four in the province was allegedly assaulted by Zhuwao on the chest and head after she accused the MDC legislator of insinuating that
she had personnel problems.
“Zhuwao has been bullying everyone in the team. She is always boosting of having political connections with President Mugabe. Last week she punched MP Nyaude. She had
another altercation with a senior member of the team,” said one of the MDC official with the team in the province.
Nyaude’s assault is said to have taken place outside the offices of the District Administrator’s offices in Kadoma in full view of other COPAC members.
The case was reported to Kadoma Central Police Station and to the two COPAC team supervisors, Walter Chidakwa (Zvimba South) and to the MDC members.
Meanwhile, a Kadoma Central legislator Editor Matamisa has already handed over her report detailing the assault to COPAC bosses while Chidhakwa has not done so.
Douglas Mwonzora, COPAC chairperson confirmed Nyaude’s assault by Zhuwao who is believed to be a relative of Patrick Zhuwao, President Mugabe’s nephew.
“I have received a report of assault against one COPAC team member by another team member in Kadoma. We are looking into the issue and anyone found guilty will be
suspended or dismissed from COPAC,” said Mwonzora. This is not the first time that Zanu (PF) officials in COPAC have assaulted other members from MDC.

An MDC COPAC official in Rusape was recently assaulted by a Zanu (PF) official.
