ZAPU Youth Chair To Spend Six Months In Jail

Initially, Waini had sentenced Sithole to 24 months in jail for fraud but suspended 12 months on the condition that he pays back the money to the complainant while another six months were suspended on good behavior leaving him with effective six months in jail with hard labour.

Sithole was accused of selling his house number 10599 Mugijima Street in Masvingo’s Mucheke suburb to both Shadreck Chando and Harunameso Mutamba.

The two later realised that Sithole who was using his housing company had fraudulently sold the house and filed a complaint to the police leading to his arrest.

Frank Chirairo appeared on behalf of the state.

Meanwhile, Sithole is expected in court again on similar charges where Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (TUZ) president Lovemore Mufamba claims that the accused sold another house to the union leader and two more people.
