Zim Rights Director In Court
Harare, January 16, 2013 – Zimrights Director Okay Machisa will appear in court on Wednesday after he was remanded in custody on Tuesday facing charges of conspiracy to commit fraud.
The state represented by Michael Reza requested for more time to ammend documents to reflect the charges being accused against Machisa who was arrested on Monday.
Machisa’s lawyer, Beatrice Mtetwa, argued against further remand for lack of evidence adding Machisa could not be charged as an individual.
Machisa was being charged for “scanning voter registration certificates with false names and misrepresenting that these people had been registered as voters”.
