Zim Tennis Player Claims Africa's Number 1 Slot

Lock has garnered 331.25 points dislodging Egypt’s Hossam Karim who has in 225 points and dropped to third position. Lock is ranked 63 in the junior world rankings. Tendai Tapfuma is another Zimbabwe with a higher ranking as he is placed in seventh of the Confederation of African Tennis rankings.

Nicole Dzenga who was ranked the number 1 Under 14 tennis player in Africa has been dislodged by Nigeria’s Sarah Adegoke to number 2. Dzenga was ranked the best player on the continent last month after winning the African Junior Championship zonal qualifiers played in Harare.

In the 14 boys Alywn Mushonga is ranked the sixth best player in Africa after collecting 283 points.
