Zivhu To Establish Mahofa Foundation

CHIVI – Zanu(PF) Masvingo provincial secretary for finance who is also Chivi Rural District Council chairperson, Dr Killer Zivhu is going to establish a foundation in honour of the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs for Masvingo Province Shuvai Ben Mahofa,in recognition her sterling work for the district of Chivi where she hails from.
Dr Zivhu confirmed this at a ceremony to honour Chidyamakono High School girls’ soccer team for winning the 2015 Copa Coca Cola for the third time in a row last Wednesday at the school gaining the rights to the trophy as a sovenir.
 “By the second week of next term we are going to come back here to launch Mahofa Foundation and I pledge to raise funds for a 35-seater bus and paint for the school as well.
“Mahofa is my mother and l worked with her for over 17 years doing cross border business when she was the deputy minister for Youth, Gender and Women’s Affairs.
“President Mugabe was sometimes surprised why we were working together, travelling the breath and width of the country spearheading the project although I was very young by then,” said Dr Zivhu. 
At the same occasion, Mahofa praised Chidyamakono School for retaining the National Association of Secondary Heads (NASH) Copa Coca Cola under 17 girls soccer trophy for the third consecutive time which is milestone since the establishment of the girls tournament 5 years ago.
Mahofa donated $900 for school fees for third term and Zivhu donated $210 for a party for the team for the 22 girls soccer that won the Copa Coca –Cola trophy. 
“The girl child is so important in the development of the country and in particular at Chidyamakono a remote area of Chivi where they have put school on the map, I will tell Mai Mugabe (Grace) about this achievements so that you get more support from the highest office,” said Mahofa.
Dr Zivhu said that Minister of State for Liaising on Psychomotor Activities in Education Josiah Hungwe trusts him and is proud of him for spearheading development in Chivi district.
“Hungwe knows that I have the capacity when it comes to developing Chivi so he entrusted me to develop the district as long as I am not dividing people in the district,” said Dr Zivhu.
